Working with Bob at Murphy Construction has been a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend their services. We did a basement remodel, including adding a new bathroom and renovating a second bathroom. We had never done a project of this size. Bob walked us through every step of the project and was a real partner throughout. He always listened and I was constantly amazed that Bob remembered tiny details that we had discussed months earlier. Bob’s entire team was first class and we felt like they all had our best interests at heart. A couple other highlights of our experience: -Communication was great throughout the process. The Murphy Construction team had good control and oversight of the many sub-contractors. Bob would always let us know next steps in the project and would text us daily every time he was about to start work. -Bob’s attention to detail and craftsmanship was excellent. We have had friends over who work in the construction industry and they have been blown away by the quality of workmanship. -Bob’s project estimate was spot-on and all additional costs were incurred because we added scope and additional improvements. No unpleasant, expensive surprises. We are so happy that we did this project with Murphy Construction and we have zero reservations about recommending their service (we have already recommended them to many of our friends and family). I had Murphy Construction do some work on a house I'd just bought, specifically subfloor in the attic, new bargeboards and trim, and a few smaller items like installing dryer vent, mail slot, etc. Great workmanship, got it all done in a timely manner, and at a reasonable cost. Highly recommended!

We hired Murphy Construction for a new bathroom in the basement of our 1947 home . He was very conscientious in all aspects of the project: Working our design wishes into the reality of the space, vetting subcontractors for quality and expediency, and exceeding my particularly picky ex-carpenter's expectations. I have no doubt that our new space in our old house will stand the test of time.

Bob was great to work with, start to finish. He was a great communicator, offered tons of advice and options, solved every problem, worked incredibly hard and did just beautiful work that is a pleasure to live with and see every day and will last for ages. I would hire him again in an instant.
