Meet Bob Murphy - owner

My father was a custom home builder and I have been involved in construction since I was a young child.  My father told me when I was 3 years old I wandered down the road to one of his projects and climbed the ladder to the roof to ask if I could help.  I have found memories of watching him sit at the drafting board designing a new house, watch and help him build the new home, and see the family move into their new home.  Many of these new home owners became our friends.

Through working with my father's building company I am skilled in everything from digging & pouring footers to all the finishing details in home building.  In high school I ran a cabinet and mill shop for his building business and began taking commissions on building furniture. 

I branched in architectural wood interiors and recently for 12 years I had the privilege of designing and crafting one of a kind interiors for a local business man in Portland, Oregon.  You can see photo albums of these projects here on Murphy Construction's Facebook page.
